Light posting, and lighting up in public


Profuse apologies for recent light posting, which is due to real-world busy-ness and will continue for a few days yet, I fear.

In the meantime I commend to you this post over at Normblog, which contains a fascinating little vignette concerning the Dutch ban on smoking in public.

Oh, yeah, and on a similar note, this message to Gordon Brown from the Top Gear team, to which there is little to add.

So it's Gordon this, and Gordon that now is it? What about the 'one eyed Scottish Loon' or whatever Clarkson called him a month or so ago.

Methinks Clarkson's contract must be due for renewal.

Power to the Top Gear elbows too. The audience cheer in reaction to their denouement was encouraging. Perhaps we are not loose cannons in the blogosphere, after all.
