This year's MSPs expenses have been published:


The books put on expenses revealed an insight into the research of some of the MSPs. Jim Mather, the enterprise minister, spent money on Statistics for Dummies and Statistical Analysis and Excel for Dummies.


How very reassuring.

I think you're being a bit harsh on the man, most politicians are innumerates who will swallow anything they're told. This bloke is trying to educate himself, which sets him above most of his colleagues who are happy to wallow in a state of total ignorance.
