Police to seek Muslims' approval before carrying out terror raids

You what?

Police have agreed to consult a panel of Muslim leaders before mounting counter-terrorist raids or arrests. Members of the panel will offer their assessment of whether information police have on a suspect is too flimsy and will also consider the consequences on community relations of a raid.

Members will be security vetted and will have to promise not to reveal any intelligence they are shown. They will not have to sign the Official Secrets Act.

Excuse me? Since when did we have to seek permission before arresting criminals? This is absolutely scandalous. And what happens if the panel advises against the police's preferred course of action? Are we really saying that terrorist suspects could be left alone for fear of upsetting the locals? If so, that would be utterly shocking and totally unacceptable. If not, then this is just pointless posturing. My money's on the latter. It's not exactly a shock to learn that the initiative "is backed by Ian Blair".

The police might usefully spend less time worrying about political correctness, and more time making sure they're actually shooting arresting the right people.

Comments:
The muslim leaders will be well satisfied that the infidel have to go and ask them before any action is taken in their community.

Dhimmitude has been completed.

Welcome to the Islamic Republic of Britannistan.

Stay in your homes tonight.

All males are to report to their nearest mosque in the morning for identity tag, work assignment and your new jizya tax code.

UN FUCKING BELIVABLE!. roll on the revolution

The next step - probably already on Sir Ian's desk waiting for his signature - is an agreement that no charges will be brought without the permission of the local Muslim dignitaries. The step after that is that, even if charges are brought, they will be brought before a special court which takes into account whether the alleged offence is actually illegal under sharia law.

Am I getting paranoid? Probably, but it doesn't mean I'm not being persecuted for not being Muslim.

And who anoints these 'leaders'? I don't remember having any English leaders when I lived in France, Germany or the US.

"Members will be security vetted and will have to promise not to reveal any intelligence they are shown. They will not have to sign the Official Secrets Act."

So, what is their 'promise' worth? And if they break it, under what law will they be prosecuted?

Do you think the traitorous morons who thought of this ever heard of Taqiya?
